Garlic Green Beans

Serves 4 10 min

Ingredients

  • ·1 lb of green string beans
  • ·1 bulb of garlic, minced
  • ·1-2 tbsp of neutral oil for frying
  • ·2 tbsp of honey
  • ·2 tbsp of soy sauce
  • ·1 tsp of sesame oil
  • ·Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. 1

Wash the green beans well and trim off the ends. Pat the beans mostly dry.

  2. 2

Blanch the green beans by bringing a pot of salted water to a boil, adding the beans, and cooking them for 2 minutes. Immediately transfer the green beans to a bowl of ice water. Let them sit for 1–2 minutes to stop the cooking. Drain them and thoroughly dry them with a paper towel.

  3. 3

Heat 1–2 tbsp of neutral oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30–60 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant. Do not let the garlic burn!

  4. 4

Add green beans to the pan and season with soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey.

  5. 5

Give a toss until everything is mixed properly and serve!
